Norman G. Jones

METHUEN MA --

Norman G. Jones of Methuen and Pocasset passed away January 12, 2026. Beloved husband of Linda Black-Jones for 45 years. Loving father of Ryan Black Jones and his wife Stephanie of Portsmouth, RI, and Caitlyn Black Manning and her husband John Paul of North Attleboro. Norm was unbelievably proud to be Papa ChooChoo to Jack, Liam, Aidan, Kayleigh, John Paul Jr., Caleb, and Matthew. Brother to Edward Jones and his wife Elizabeth of Walpole, and Virginia Peterson of Hudson, FL. Predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Virginia Jones. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Norm's impact far extends his family. He was a 1973 graduate of Dedham High School and a proud member of the tight knit 1972 Bay State League basketball championship team that was inducted into the Dedham High School athletic Hall of Fame. Norm went on to play basketball at the University of New Hampshire, where he found lifelong friends. He shared his love of the game with his kids, coaching and serving on the board of Methuen Youth Basketball.

Norman lived his faith through action, whether it was supporting children in the Boys and Girls Club through the Big Brothers program, bringing waters to Lawrence firefighters at fire scenes, coaching coworkers in his career in logistics management, or by serving as a Eucharistic Minister. Norm had a passion for gardening and model railroading, taking great pride in his garden railway, Patuisset Pass. Through it all, Norman has lived his life with Pride and Poise, leaving behind a legacy of love.
